BrightLight Books operates multiple stores and we invite you to browse the inventory of those stores here, at BrightLightBooks.com. Each store ships online orders independently, so if you would like to take advantage of our free shipping offers, you'll need to take note of which stores have the items you are interested in.
For example, if you have $25 or more items from Fern Park on your order, and a single $5.99 item from RTS Oveido, the item from our RTS Oveido store would incur a $4.99 shipping charge.
Similarly, if you have an order that is less than $25 from two stores, you would incur two $4.99 shipping charges.
Your current order breaks down as follows:
Trade Credit is a store credit that you can use to purchase items on BrightLightBooks.com or in one of our stores.
You get Trade Credit by selling us your books, DVDs, and CDs. You can bring any of these items into one of our stores to receive an offer. (Read more here about selling your items to us: Sell Us Your Stuff ). Sometimes we also give credit for customer service reasons, such as returns.
We usually pay between 40% - 60% of what we think an item will sell for, with lower price items being closer to 40% and higher price items being closer to 60%.
Yes, but Trade Credit is only worth 75% of the cash value when applied to brand new or special order items. For example, it would take $13.33 in trade credit to pay for a $10 special order item.
Yes, but its buying power shrinks by 50% when applied to shipping costs. For example, it would take $9.98 of trade credit to cover $4.99 of shipping.
Yes, we are not able to accept trade credit for comic books due to the way we source them.
Your trade credit is applied in the manner that is most beneficial to you. For online orders, this is done automatically during checkout with any applicable trade credit being applied first to used items then to brand new items and finally to shipping costs.
Yes, the cash out value of cashable trade credit is 50%. (For example: $10 of cashable trade credit is worth $5.00 in cash). Please note that sometimes we make a trade credit offer with the stipulation that it's a non-cashable offer, and that portion of your trade credit balance cannot be cashed-out.
