Be inspired by the life and spirituality of one of the great saints of modern times, St. Pio of Pietrelcina. Although he possessed a startling number of supernatural gifts, including the stigmata or the wounds of Christ, Padre Pio was a humble priest who taught and practiced obedience, trust, and charity. Each of the fifteen meditations in Praying with Padre Pio relates biographical details about the saint along with selections from his writings or letters. Questions for personal reflection or group discussion and suggestions for prayer and action are featured in each of the meditations. Among the topics covered are prayer, the Eucharist, suffering, trust, holiness, and humility. This book is a wonderful introduction to the spirituality of Padre Pio as well as a way to grow closer to the Lord
