Some pet pointers:* If you are newly married and your dog won’t allow your husband in bed with you, he should give the dog a treat whenever he enters the room, as well as whenever he sits near you. The dog will learn to like him!* If your dog refuses to walk on a leash, sit down whenever he sits down and wait until he gets bored and is ready to move.* If your dog barks to get your attention, ignore him. Do not look at him or speak to him. Soon he will learn that his behavior won’t reward him with attention. When he is quiet, then give him your attention.* Only give a signal or command once. If you repeat cues over and over, you are teaching your dog to sit, for example, on the fourth time you say the word.* Remember that you can only correct a dog effectively within two seconds of the wrong behavior. Otherwise he will have no idea what you are correcting him for.* If your puppy can’t get the hang of peeing outside, break the habit by teaching him that he only gets the fun of a walk after he has eliminated.
